LIFE OUT LOUD
You know those moments when your yoga practice shows up for you off your mat and outside of the yoga studio? They're pretty magical, right? Or the moments when you look back on a day that felt insane and out of control and you see that you made it out alive - you survived? All of those moments happen on purpose.
I've been working through a lot of inner healing over the last year and it's in the moments when I feel really vulnerable, exposed or defeated as a mama, that I am trying to kinder to myself and remember that everything will be OK. That I will survive, I am capable and I am strong. But I notice that it's a constant practice and the more I practice, the more it is accessible. It's in the moments when my toddler boys are screaming and crying and hitting one another that I am reminded that I can set the tone for the outcome of this situation. Because Rumi was right... "What you seek is seeking you." I certainly don't always get it right... trust me. I scream and yell and then feel guilty, but justified. I am a work in progress, as we all are. But the practice of giving yourself grace and compassion (even when emotions are running high) can get easier. It's a deep, personal and internal practice of YOU. And YOU are beautiful and human.
